Syria: Christians Flee Persecution by New Islamic Government

Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray for protection and spiritual empowerment of the persecuted Church in Syria as many Christians are now fleeing the terror of the country’s newly-established, radical Islamic government. Your Word says, “You will not be afraid of the terror by night,” (Psalm 91:5). We pray you deliver the nation of Syria out of its spiritual darkness and that the light of the Gospel would burn ever brighter. We pray You impart wisdom to the Church in Syria about whether to leave the country or to remain, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
