CHIEF OF ARMY CHAPLAINS DECLARES DAY OF PRAYER & FASTING
Let us pray. Almighty God, we answer the call of the U.S. Army Chief of Chaplains Major General Douglas Carver, who requested a national day of prayer and fasting for our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. With the up tempo fighting on two fronts in Iraq and Afghanistan, we pray God you will relieve our returning troops from all post-traumatic stress and forgive any temptation to suicide or depression. We pray Psalms 91, that you will lift up our troops with your angels, so their feet will not stumble, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

3. Tuesday 14 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
SENATE PREPARES TO VOTE ON ANTI-JESUS JUDGE DAVID HAMILTON
Let us pray. Almighty God, next week the Senate will consider whether to confirm President Obama’s nomination of the anti-Jesus Judge David Hamilton to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, to rule over Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Judge Hamilton not only ruled to hasten abortions, he also ruled that it’s illegal speech to pray “in Jesus name” in public, but it’s perfectly OK to pray to Allah. We pray all Senators will defeat Hamilton’s nomination, claiming Colossians 3:17: whatever we do in word or deed, do everything in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Almighty God, last week the Democrat legislators voted to override a Republican Governor, and legislate sodomy as the law of Vermont, declaring the abomination of homosexual "marriage" as a constitutional right. God we petition you re-establish Jesus' definition of marriage from Matthew 19: “at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, ‘man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' What God has joined together, let man not separate." We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

5. Thursday 16 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
U.S. SENATE VOTES TO FORBID DOCTORS RIGHT OF CONSCIENCE
Let us pray. Almighty God, last week the Democrats in the U.S. Senate voted 56-41 against permitting Doctors the freedom of conscience when refusing to administer abortions. Health workers in America now face discrimination if they keep their Hippocratic oath to do no harm, like the nurse in 2008 who was forced to leave two different hospitals because she refused to assist in abortions. We pray from Acts 24:16, that you will bless Doctors and nurses who always keep their conscience clear before God and man. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

IOWA SUPREME COURT RULES TO FORCE GAY MARRIAGE
Let us pray. Almighty God, last week the Iowa State Supreme Court ruled in Judicial Tyranny to redefine homosexual “marriage” as a Constitutional right, making sodomy the law of the land in Iowa. We pray from Romans 1 that people filled with wickedness, evil, and depravity will repent of all sexual sin, and worship the Creator. We also pray the state legislators will allow the good people of Iowa to vote on a Constitutional Amendment, to reclaim a Biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

CICERO PREDICTED ROME WOULD FALL TO NATIONAL DEBT
Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray a 2000 year old quote from Cicero who said in 55 BC: "The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." God we pray from Proverbs 22:7, the borrower is servant to the lender, so help our nation get out of debt, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
