Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, we grieve the Stafford County Virginia School board who caved into empty threats by the ACLU, and silenced public prayers after a parent complained that a school board member prayed in the name of Jesus.  We pray the Board repents and protects our freedom of speech, not our right to remain silent.  Lord, we pray Christians never be ashamed of Jesus, from Deuteronomy 31:6 “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you,” in Jesus Name, Amen.

2. Monday 25 Jan 10 One-Minute Prayer:

10,000 Protest Houston's New Abortion Facility 
 
Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, we thank you for the 10,000 people who recently united in Houston, Texas for a pro-life prayer rally against a giant new building for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.  God bless Tony Perkins, and Lou Engle and several Hispanic and African-American Christian leaders who joined the rally.  We pray God stops completely government-funded abortions clinics in every city, and pray against Planned Parenthood who epitomizes 1 Timothy 6:10: the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil, including the murder of the preborn, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Rifqa Bary allowed to stay in foster care until age 18
 
Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, again you have answered our prayer, and we thank you for the Ohio judge’s decision this week to allow Rifqa Bary to remain in foster care until she turns 18.  God protect this young Christian convert from Islam, who ran away from her Muslim family because her father allegedly threatened an “honor killing” because Rifqa loves Jesus.  From Psalm 91:14 we declare, “Because he loves me, “ says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name,” in Jesus Name, Amen.

Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, we pray Congress rejects Erroll Southers, President Obama’s nominee to lead the Transportation Security Administration, since he says pro-lifers and conservative Christians are high domestic terrorist threats, who should be watched carefully, falsely comparing us to white supremacist groups and the Aryan Nations, which are real terrorist threats.  Lord, from Ecclesiastes 2:14 know that the wise person sees, but the fool walks in the darkness.  Lord, we also pray you continue to help those opposing this nomination to stand firm and not grow weary in doing good, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Trijicon Denies Christ and Removes Scripture from Guns
 
Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, we sadly hear the company Trijicon’s President and CEO, Stephen Bindon has caved into secularist ABC news, and atheist and Muslim complainers, by removing scripture verses like John 8:12 and 2 Corinthians 4:6 from their gun sights sold to American troops.  Now Christian companies and private citizens must forsake their faith or deny Christ in order to obtain contracts, even though the company had honored Christ for nearly thirty years, and proclaimed that “Jesus is the light of the world.”  God protect Christian companies private rights to proclaim their faith, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, we seek Your wisdom for the investigators in Texas who seek information about the arsonist who set fire to at least nine churches, since the beginning of this year.  Lord from James 1:5 you promise that if we ask You for wisdom, you will give it generously, and we thank You for helping authorities catch and stop the demonic destruction.  We thank God that no one was hurt in any of the church fires, and we ask for a complete restoration of each church that has been destroyed, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Supreme Court Restores Free Speech for Political Corporations

 

Let Us Pray.  Almighty God, thank You for the Supreme Court decision this week, ruling 5 - 4 to protect free political speech, overturning restrictions on use of corporate money for campaign ads, since this now allows pro-family advocacy organizations to spend money freely to endorse or oppose candidates before elections.  We thank you for this First Amendment victory, which reverses discrimination against prophets who expose evil and corruption. From Proverbs 29:2 we declare again, when the righteous rule, the people rejoice, and when the wicked rule, the people groan, in Jesus Name, Amen.
