Carrie Prejean denied Miss USA crown for pro-marriage statement
Let us pray. Almighty God, we praise you for the example set by Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who came in second at the Miss USA talent competition. When asked about gay marriage by a homosexual activist judge, she said she believed in Biblical marriage between one man and one woman. She got booed by evildoers, and lost her chance at the Miss USA crown. God we pray you bless her from 1st Peter 5:4, when the Chief Shepherd appears, she will receive a crown of glory that will never fade away. In Jesus name, Amen.

2. Monday 27 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
Connecticut Marriage voted by legislature with pro-faith blessing?
Let us pray. Almighty God, we express our dismay at the compromises made by false Christians this week, who endorsed and voted for homosexual marriage in the Connecticut legislature. The Connecticut Governor signed a new law, which codified a bad 6-month old court decision, legislating sodomy as the law of the land, and surprisingly some Christian organizations applauded, claiming victory for a minor amendment that allows free speech. But didn’t we already have free speech? We pray Exodus 23:2, do not pervert justice by siding with a crowd. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. Tuesday 28 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
Anti-Jesus Judge David Hamilton Faces Confirmation Tomorrow
Let us pray. Almighty God, tomorrow the Senate Judiciary Committee will once again debate the nomination to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, of the pro-abortion, anti-Jesus Judge David Hamilton, who ruled that it’s illegal to pray “in Jesus name” but prayers to Allah are inclusive, and totally legal, because they would never offend anybody. God we pray for Hamilton’s defeat, from 1st John 2:22: Who is the liar? The man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is an antichrist. God help us defeat Judge Hamilton. In Jesus name, Amen.

4. Wednesday 29 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
Hate Crimes legislation vote passes House Judiciary Committee
Let us pray. Almighty God, this week the House Judiciary Committee voted 15-12 along party lines, to forward the “Hate Crimes” bill to the entire House for a vote, which would criminalize and silence free speech in churches, whenever pastors quote the Bible against the sin of homosexuality. When violent offenders later commit crimes against gays, innocent pastors will be blamed and charged with inciting violence. So we pray Proverbs 27:5, better is open rebuke than hidden love. We show our love, by praying for defeat of this anti-Christian bill, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

5. Thursday 30 Apr 09 One-Minute Prayer:
Military Chaplains continue fight for right to pray “in Jesus name.”
Let us pray, Almighty God, today we pray your blessing on two North Carolina Congressmen, Republican Walter Jones and Democrat Mike McIntyre, who have again introduced a bill this year, HR 268, that will guarantee all military chaplains the right to pray publicly according to the dictates of their conscience. God please help us pass this bill, which will forever stop the persecution of chaplains who pray “in Jesus name.” For Acts 4:12 says there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Senator Clinton Promotes Abortion Around the World
Let us pray. Almighty God, today we express concern about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who admitted during testimony on Capitol Hill that the phrases “reproductive rights” and “reproductive health” that she’s pushing for in international law, is really a code word for abortions. God don’t let America become a nation that exports our aggressive abortion laws, which would kill innocent around the world. We pray against Senator Clinton’s aggressive international abortion agenda from Jeremiah 2:34, “On your clothes men find the lifeblood of the innocent poor.” In Jesus name, Amen.

7. Saturday 2 May 09 One-Minute Prayer:
Plan B Abortion Pill Now Available to 17 Year Olds
Let us pray. Almighty God, today we express our outrage that the Obama Administration’s FDA is making abortion pills, known as Plan B, available to 17 year old girls, who are minors, without their parents knowledge or consent. These pills are not merely birth control, but they prevent the implantation of eggs that are already fertilized, destroying fully conceived babies, and turning 17 year old girls into pill-popping baby killers. God we pray from Psalm 139 that you protect unborn babies, whom you knit together in our mother's womb, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
