Almighty God, this week we pray for your intervention during the confirmation hearings in the Judiciary Committee for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, and ask you guide the Senators and their questions. God if she is pro-life and pro-marriage, we pray she will be confirmed, and if not, we pray she is defeated, opposed, and filibustered. We pray instead for judges like Deborah in Judges 4, the prophetess who declared that this is the day in which the LORD delivers the devil’s kingdom into our hand. In Jesus name, Amen.

California Marriage Victory Challenged in Federal Court

Let us pray. Almighty God, we give you praise for your triumphant victory in California, where the Supreme Court voted 6-1 to uphold the voters Constitutional Amendment, which adopted Jesus’ definition of marriage, from Matthew 19: “at the beginning the Creator made them male and female,...what God has joined together, let man not separate.” We pray more of the Bible becomes law in California, and that federal courts will reject the brand-new lawsuit by liberals, who should not overrule the voters, and cannot overturn the law of God. In Jesus name, Amen.

Americans United threatens Liberty University with IRS complaints

Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray for Liberty University, which is falsely accused by Barry Lynn and Americans United, who arrogantly demands the IRS revoke the Christian school’s tax exemption, because Liberty took a stand for pro-life and pro-marriage values, by evicting the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Democrats from campus. God you are neither Republican nor Democrat, but you oppose evil, and we pray both political parties will oppose evil too, unlike Barry Lynn. We pray from Isaiah 5:20, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil. In Jesus name, Amen.

Almighty God, we pray for the employees and sub-contractors for the General Motors and Chrysler corporations, which are headed toward bankruptcy this month, and we pray they will not depend on government hand-outs, and won’t be taken over by our increasingly socialist government, but instead the companies will thrive with creative, responsible ingenuity and build products that compete and win under a free-market capitalist system. We pray from Luke 19, that he who is faithful will increase, but he who is not faithful will suffer loss. In Jesus name, Amen.

Murder suspect Scott Roeder had no apparent ties to pro-life groups

Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray for justice to convict the suspected murderer Scott Roeder, who allegedly killed the abortionist George Tiller, and we are grateful that Roeder had no apparent ties to mainstream pro-life groups. God we stand with Operation Rescue and all pro-life groups that immediately condemned Roeder’s act of violence, and we pray you teach your people to never take Vengeance into their own hands, as God says in Romans 12:19, Avenge not yourselves, for vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
